The team at Darwin My Vet Service is committed to caring about your pets. We encourage further study and our veterinarians and nurses regularly attend conferences, seminars and postgraduate courses so we can provide you with cutting-edge medicine and surgery and the very best in customer service.

As pet owners, we understand the loyalty, love and enjoyment that pets bring to our lives. We offer care, not just as it relates to the patients we treat, but also our attitude to our whole business and to you, our client.


Dr. Margie Peacocke


Veterinarian at Darwin My Vet Service since May 2014.


Dr Margot Tong

Veterinarian (BVSC (hons))

Veterinarian at Darwin My Vet Service since July 2015. 

Dr Margot has a particular interest in small animal internal medicine. 

Dr. Maureen Duggan

Veterinarian (HBVs (zoology) BSc)

Dr. Maureen moved from Canada to Australia in 2009. She graduated Veterinary Science from the University of Queensland in 2013. Maureen completed a degree in zoology in Canada in 2008. She has worked in the Animal Care Industry in various positions for over 15 years now.

Maureen started with us in January 2016, she has a wealth of knowledge and truly cares for every patient she treats. Dr. Maureen has a particular interest and love of working with cats in all areas of the field and in behavioural medicine.

Dr Amanda Bunney

Veterinarian (BSc BVMS)

Dr. Amanda graduated from Murdoch University Veterinary School in 2006. Permanent and locum positions have taken Amanda around Australia and to the UK, before moving to Darwin 5 years ago, joining the Darwin My Vet Service team in December 2015

Dr. Amanada enjoys all aspects of surgery and wound healing as well as dentistry.

Nurse Mikala

Veterinary Nurse (Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing)

Mikala has over 6 years experience as a veterinary nurse, joining the Darwin My Vet Service team in June 2014.

Mikala's interests in the veterinary field include clincal diagnostics including, pathology and radiology. As well as emergency medicine and management.

Nurse Lara

Veterinary Nurse

Lara has over 5 years experience as a Veterinary Nurse, joining our team in December 2016. Lara moved to Darwin with her much loved and very spoilt Mini Foxy, "Poppy". Poppy was adopted by Lara through RSCPA and they both enjoy long walks together.

Lara has a particular love and interest in working with small dogs. Lara believes the best thing about being a nurse is making animals feel better. She has a kind heart and can often be found reassuring patients with cuddles.

Nurse Liz

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV n Veterinary Nursing, Advanced Anaesthesiology)

Liz originates from England and qualified as a Vet Nurse wth Auckland University and Otago Polytechnic, New Zealand in 2007.

Liz has worked all over the world and has gained heaps of experience handling our feline friends. Her own cats, "Piggie" and "Colin" are well travelled and are much loved family members.

Nurse Anna

Veterinary Nurse (Cert IV Veterinary Nursing)

Anna came to Darwin in late 2009, having already completed her Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing in New Zealand.

Anna's interest's include caring for long-term hospital and medical cases, performing pathology and giving our clients the best customer service she can provide.

Nurse Taunya

Veterinary Nurse (Cert IV Veterinary Nursing)

Taunya has returned after a year away to help us out every second Saturday. Taunya worked for DMVS for four years full-time until 2011.

We love having Taunya back and enjoy visits from her beautiful rotti Brigid!
